Basic Tips On Projectors

Owning a home theater projector entitles you to a never ending change of projector bulbs.   Despite the assurance of a two thousand hour lifespan, it does not take long for owners to change their projector bulbs.  Not to worry because we have some guidelines on how to preserve your projector bulb.

Handle your lamp with covered hands.

Problems commonly arise when people tend to use their bare hands in changing projector bulbs.   They tend to forget that the bulbs they are changing are not the usual light bulb. It is different because the bulb of a projector heats much faster than an ordinary light bulb.   Your exposed hands will hurt so badly when it touches a hot projector bulb.

When you touch the bulb with your hands, you have the tendency to leave traces of oil on the surface. Although it is very minute, you alter the quality of the bulb and the display resolution.   Oil left on the surface will be absorbed by the bulb and decrease the life of your projector bulb.   The main effect of the oil left on the surface is the quality and output of light from your home theater projector.  The image will not be fully displayed with such low light. At first, it will not be detected but over time, it worsens making it less visible.

The lamp is turned off first before the projector power.

Give enough time for the lamp to cool before turning off the projector itself.   The interval given will let the cooling fan function its purpose. Yet constant cooling and heating will expand the bulb filament, it is wiser to do it with the use of a cooling fan.  It goes the same when the projector is left on to let the cooling fan run for awhile.   Doing so will improve the quality and lifespan of your home theater projector.  Continuous Movements

Your projector lamp is very delicate that constant movement while it is hot can cause damage to the bulb.  It is because your bulb filament loses its elasticity when it is being heated.   The bulb filament of a camp lantern is the same with those of a projector lamp.   Sudden movement can damage the filament because it becomes ash like when being heated. The filament will remain sensitive immediately after proper cooling.  Thus you must always be cautious in moving the projector.   Still, your projector is a very sensitive electronic device.

Still, projector bulbs will be replaced but this time, it will not be done as frequent
